AI is now being adopted in nearly every industry and sector across the world. While major financial institutions have been using it for many years, some retail brokers are now offering it to their clients to aid and improve trading performance.
In this article, we share our findings on the best AI forex trading brokers and platforms that our team has discovered through detailed research and testing. Every year, we at FXEmpire test over 80 brokers, using our proprietary rating system, which includes over 250 data points. We open accounts with each broker, run test drives of their trading platforms, record live spreads and swaps, and compare them to the industry benchmarks.
As traders ourselves, we know that every trader has different requirements and expectations from the broker. So we collected all the data and identified the top AI-driven trading platforms that best fit you.
*AvaTrade doesn’t allow CFD trading in Spain; only Futures are available.
Our team of experts has identified each broker’s strengths and weaknesses using FXEmpire’s comprehensive methodology.
Now let’s go through the selected brokers.
Founded in 1999, FxPro is our best overall broker for AI trading. With access to platforms like MT4, MT5, and cTrader and AI tools from Trading Central, to assist in trading over 2,100 CFDs, FxPro is a top AI broker to consider.
Broker Features:
As a fast-time trader, I find the AI tools in cTrader are excellent. cTrader Automate allows you to build real trading algorithms, allowing you to plug in machine learning models into the logic of a trading bot. cTrader also has a marketplace with advanced AI trading bots you can use.
Some of these AI bots use autonomous strategies that open and close trades themselves and learn from historical behavior. As these are already included in the cTrader marketplace, no external software or tools are required. One of my favorite features of cTrader is that it can serve as a rules-based AI risk manager, offering a variety of advanced trade, risk, and portfolio management features.
FxPro’s no-dealing desk execution offers extremely fast execution of around 12ms, which is essential for fast-timeframe trading styles. While the spreads on the Standard account are not that competitive, the Raw+ and Elite accounts offer spreads from 0.0 pips and a low commission of $3.50 per lot per side, resulting in a great overall package.
Established in 2005, FP Markets provides an excellent AI trading starter package for beginner traders. It gives access to a diverse selection of AI trading platforms and tools for trading over 10,000 instruments. I also found a comprehensive suite of educational resources available on the FP Markets’ website to support beginner traders. These include courses, articles, and videos covering the basics of trading.
Broker Features:
FP Markets supports AI trading with platforms such as MT4, MT5, cTrader, and TradingView. The MT4 and MT5 web platforms and mobile apps are the most beginner-friendly, alongside the TradingView web platform. cTrader is designed for more short-term, advanced traders who require fast execution. However, beginners will benefit from platform video tutorials that will help to build confidence in using the MetaTrader and cTrader desktop platforms.
The broker’s standout AI tools include its copy trading services through Myfxbook (MT4) and cTrader Copy. The ability to leverage AI logic to copy and risk-manage the trades of other successful traders is a great way for beginners to access the market and start using AI trading tools.
I found the volume of educational content is better than most brokers. The FP Markets Academy covers key concepts and terminology like pips and swaps, plus there is an introductory course for indicators like MACD and RSI. Lessons are easy to digest and are presented in written and audio form, making FP Markets a top choice for beginners.
Vantage is an Australian forex and CFD broker founded in 2009, providing access to over 1,000 tradable instruments across currency pairs, commodities, share CFDs, indices, and cryptocurrencies. It stands out for very competitive prices, an innovative ProTrader platform, and an all-in-one Vantage mobile app that combines a versatile design with powerful AI tools.
Broker Features:
Downloading the Vantage mobile app was very easy, and I was impressed by the variety of features it offers. The layout is intuitive, the charts are responsive, and the built-in AI market research section helps stay up to date on market movements. There is a stream of market updates and trading ideas that you can copy onto your own account in just a few taps.
The app is well-designed for traders who need to trade while on the move. You can manage your account, deposit and withdraw funds, open new positions, and adjust existing positions very easily, all from the app. I placed several market orders during my live test and didn’t find any slippage with trades filled instantly at the price requested.
The built-in copy trading section is easy to use, and you can search for the best-performing traders to follow and copy. The mobile app also highlights the top 20 performing signal providers each week. With access to over 1,000 tradable instruments and helpful AI trading tools, Vantage is the broker to consider for app-based trading.
FXTM is a financial derivatives broker that is tightly regulated across multiple jurisdictions. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Mauritius, FXTM provides over 1,100 share CFDs with low spreads, the robust MT4 and MT5 platforms, and the sophisticated Acuity tool for AI-generated trading signals.
Broker Features:
I checked the Apple and Tesla spreads with FXTM using the Advantage Plus account and found they range from 20 to 50 cents, well below the industry average.
I performed my tests on the versatile MT5 platform, which features a wide selection of analytical tools (50+ technical indicators and drawing tools) and chart configurations (21 timeframes and 3 chart types). AI traders can also benefit from the automated trading capability via Expert Advisors (EAs).
Another perk of FXTM is that the broker offers the Acuity tool, delivering AI-generated trading signals. Stock traders can learn about currently emerging trading setups, key support and resistance levels, viable target and stop-out levels, and more.
Founded in 2007, IC Markets offers a strong range of AI trading tools to trade on over 2,200 tradable instruments. The broker stands out for professional traders as it offers access to MT4, MT5, cTrader, and TradingView platforms with no requotes and fast execution, as well as AI tools like Signal Start, Myfxbook, and IC Insights.
Broker Features:
The MT4, MT5, cTrader, and TradingView platforms offer an excellent range of high-grade AI trading tools. All four platforms enable the creation, testing, and execution of AI trading robots, which is useful when combined with the broker’s free VPS service. You can also access paid and free trading bots and algorithmic strategies from cTrader and the MetaTrader Marketplace.
IC Markets also offers third-party AI trading tools from Trading Central and Autochartist. These provide access to real-time trading signals, market research, and pattern recognition scanners. This is great for beginners who need help with market analysis, as well as advanced traders looking to speed up their research to identify more opportunities.
During our live fee test using the broker’s Standard CFD account, the EUR/USD spread averaged 0.80 pips, beating the industry average of 1.08 pips. With a wide variety of instruments, platforms and AI trading tools, low spreads and indemnity insurance up to $1 million, we consider IC Markets ia a top choice for professional traders.
Established in 2006, AvaTrade provides a solid range of trading platforms with AI tools to complement automated trading. This includes access to Expert Advisors through MT4 and a VPS service. The broker also offers other types of automation products like copy trading through the AvaSocial app and a third-party copy trading plugin from DupliTrade.
Broker Features:
The MT4 and MT5 platforms have long been considered the top platforms for automated trading. Both platforms allow you to create Expert Advisors in the C# programming language, backtest those strategies and run them live around the clock with AvaTrade’s VPS. MetaTrader also operates one of the largest automated trading communities in its Market, where you can buy automated strategies from other traders.
For beginners who have no coding knowledge but want to use a degree of automation in their trading, then the AvaSocial app is another excellent option. The app lets you view the performance of other traders and automatically copy their trades onto your own account, providing a more automated trading solution.
During our live fee test on AvaTrader’s commission-free CFD account, I found an average spread on EUR/USD of 0.8 pips, beating the 1.08 pip industry average, making it ideal for short-term automated traders.
Founded in 1974, IG is a veteran of the forex and CFD industry and a publicly listed company on the London Stock Exchange. The broker offers over 17,000 tradable instruments across various AI trading platforms, direct market access (DMA) trading accounts, zero commission trading and low spreads.
Broker Features:
In our testing of IG’s CFD account, I found the spreads on major currency pairs to be the tightest in the industry. For example, the average spread for EUR/USD was 0.60 pips, beating the industry average of 1.08 pips. I was also impressed by the very competitive spreads on European and US stock indices. However, its crypto spreads came in slightly higher than the industry average, while the share CFD spreads were mixed.
One of the standout features of IG is its compatibility with the ProRealTime trading platform, which is available for free if you place at least four trades in a month. This platform can build algorithms and automated trading strategies using the ProBuilder language, which requires no coding experience.
Manual traders interested in leveraging AI can also use the ProRealTrend trend lines indicator. This automatically draws different trend lines, horizontal support and resistance lines on your charts, which is a great option for beginner traders. There are also real-time chart pattern signals from Autochartist, available directly from the IG Web Trader platform. With access to low spreads and thousands of instruments, IG is a top choice for cost-conscious traders.
tastyfx is a US-based forex broker that is part of the IG Group, founded in 1974, and is a publicly traded company on the London Stock Exchange. US traders have access to 86 margin-based forex pairs, with AI trading tools available from the MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, TradingView, and ProRealTime platforms.
Broker Features:
As a regular user of the ProRealTime platform, I find its ProBuilder language makes it easy to create automated strategies and customized scanners with no coding experience required. You can create a customized scanner that searches for a variety of chart patterns and indicator setups across all the markets available to trade. This can also be turned into an automated trading system, allowing you to backtest and trade it on a demo account before using it on a live account.
The ProRealTime community is also great as it offers a large selection of pre-built automated strategies and scanners, which is a useful way for beginner traders to start using AI in their trading, as well as for more advanced traders seeking to elevate their performance. The TradingView platform is also packed with AI trading tools, including a real-time pattern recognition scanner, strategy tester, and Pine Script automation. While tastyfx also offers automated AI trading capabilities from MT4 and MT5, these platforms require a steeper learning curve.
I found there are over 86 forex pairs covering major, minor, exotic, and emerging currency pairs, alongside a variety of other useful trading tools. These include Autochartist signals, news from Thomson Reuters, funding bonuses, and cash rebate accounts. With fast trade execution and no inactivity or maintenance fees, tastyfx is a top broker to consider.
Here is a quick guide on choosing the best broker for AI trading.
A reliable and safe AI trading platform will explain how its signals are generated and how the risk is managed. Stay away from platforms that promise “guaranteed profits” or hide their AI logic and reasoning, as these are red flags.
It’s important to determine how much control you want to give your trading system. For example, if you want to be a hands-off trader, then you need a fully automated AI execution platform and strategy.
If you are looking for control and discretion, then choosing a platform that offers AI signals and manual confirmations before executing a trade may be better. The most advanced traders may use AI analytics to identify a trade, then instruct an AI agent to execute trades for them.
To really benefit from a platform’s AI features, it’s important to choose a broker that is regulated, offers stable connections, low-latency execution, and preferably VPS hosting. This will provide a much smoother and safer trading experience.

Many Brokers and businesses are trying to capitalize on the growth and demand of AI, using the term “AI platform” or “AI tool” for marketing purposes. I’d recommend staying clear of AI marketing that offers fixed strategy parameters, no ongoing updates, and no changes in behavior when market conditions change.
However, some platforms do use AI to review a trader’s performance, providing feedback on strengths and weaknesses and tips for improvement. As a manual trader myself, I believe this is one of the best ways to use AI.
The term “AI trading” is widely used and misused in the forex industry. Here is a breakdown of what it actually means:
Alorithmic trading is a trading strategy that follows predefined instructions, known as rules. It does not adapt or learn from the market’s current or past behavior, but executes a set of rules faster than a human trader can.
Check out our list of Best forex brokers for automated trading.
Rule-based bots are bots that use predefined rules to execute trades, often with the help of technical analysis indicators and risk management formulas. Most ‘Forex Robots’ fall into this category. While this term is frequently used to advertise a ‘holy grail’ trading system to retail traders, it is often just an ‘Expert Advisor’ that comes with the MT4 and MT5 platforms.
Machine learning models are true AI trading systems that analyze a large dataset and adjusts its behaviour and decision-making over time. The AI may be able to alert when market conditions are changing and then adjust entry/exit levels and risk management calculations. Instead of using a fixed set of rules that doesn’t adapt to changing market behavior, a machine learning model incorporates adaptive decision-making.
There are also fully automated and semi-automated systems, which are not the same thing.
A fully automated trading system is one that identifies when set parameters are met, executes those trades, and manages the exits. It’s designed for passive traders but requires a high degree of trust in the system.
A smi-automated system suggests trades but requires manual confirmation by a trader before execution. Essentially, it is AI-assisted trading, so you don’t have to give up full control.
You would also see that some brokers offer AI signals, while others provide AI execution. Here is how they differ:
| Feature | AI Signals | AI Execution |
| Placing the trade | Manual | Automatic |
| Level of control | High | Low |
| Execution speed | Slower | Instant |
| Emotional bias | High | None |
After many years of trading the markets manually, I believe that using AI signals is a great way to improve performance. It can help identify trades more quickly, but it gives a trader some discretion over whether to execute the trade.
Having a fully AI execution model requires a high degree of trust. Even algorithmic departments at top hedge funds and investment banks have a human trader guiding their AI execution models.

There are various ways AI is incorporated across trading platforms. Here are a few of note:
Brokers may incorporate AI into their trading platforms by offering trade signals based on market conditions, real-time pattern recognition scanners, automated risk alerts, and sentiment analysis tools.
It is now possible for retail traders to follow and copy a strategy managed by an AI system, or a forex robot, rather than a human trader.
Most copy trading platforms require no setup and are beginner-friendly. However, past performance is no guarantee of future performance. I have seen trading systems with fantastic historical results, but struggle to replicate them in the future. Check out our list of Best copy trading platforms.
Some companies will offer their own standalone trading platform with an AI trading bot. This platform will then connect to a broker and can be run on a VPS. While these offer full automated capabilities, it can be challenging to assess the bot’s reliability in real market conditions unless using a live account.

APIs are designed for developers and quantitative traders who need full discretion and control on its setup. These are often custom-made systems that require a high level of technical skills and knowledge. Discover Best brokers that offer trading APIs.
An AI signal provider offers trade ideas based on the system’s rules. It can be a useful way for beginners to engage in the market, as it is easy to follow and copy. Here is our list of Best forex signal providers.
However, just like a human trader cannot predict the future, AI cannot either. An AI signal will merely identify what is happening now using a range of tools and parameters, and a possible scenario of what could happen next.
Remember that AI does not eliminate risk, but it does help to manage it. Here are a few AI risk management tools to check for:
