FXEmpire has been investigating brokers for several years, testing out hundreds since our opening. I have compiled a list of the best forex brokers for traders in Thailand, paying particular attention to whether or not deposits and withdrawals can be done in Thai baht, whether they offer Thai language support, and whether or not Thai residents have access to bonuses and promotions. Furthermore, I made sure that the broker offered good spreads, execution, and platforms.

How Did I Choose the Best Brokers in Thailand?

  • I checked each broker to make sure it is authorized and regulated by a strong financial authority.
  • I checked to see if the broker allows deposits and withdrawals in Thai Baht (THB).
  • I checked for any bonuses or promotions for Thai clients.
  • I opened a live trading account to make note of the fees and costs involved in trading.
  • I tested the platform to see if it is easy to use and feature-rich.
  • I ran a live customer support test to verify whether it’s available in the Thai language and during local business hours.
  • I made sure there is easy access to Thai payment methods.
  • I looked for a localized Thai version of the broker’s website.

Our team of experts has identified each broker’s strengths and weaknesses using FXEmpire’s comprehensive methodology.

This analysis, along with my own personal trading experience, has led to the findings and research below for the best forex brokers in Thailand.

Best Overall

Contracts for Difference (CFDs) are leveraged over-the-counter derivative products and carry a high level of risk to your capital. You should only risk capital that you can afford to lose. In certain circumstances, due to fluctuations in market value you may not get back your initial investment amount. You may not only lose your initial investment but you may incur a liability to pay a further amount to cover losses. This means you can lose more money than you have invested.

Why We Picked It

FP Markets has been in business since 2005, and has long been known for its professional-friendly environment. FP offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 platforms, as well as WebTrader, cTrader, and TradingView. Access to spreads as low as 0.0 pips keeps professionals coming back to FP for their liquidity. Social Trading is also available at FP, as well as Autochartist and FP Intelligence, in conjunction with Acuity Research for market analysis.

Regional Features:

  • Entity that Accepts Thai Traders: FP Markets Ltd, FSRA in St. Lucia
  • Maximum Leverage: 1:500
  • Thai Payment Methods: Bank cards, Skrill, Neteller, and wire transfers
  • Localized Version of the Website: Yes
  • Customer Support in Thai: Yes
  • Other Features: USD/THB among currency pairs for trading

I tested the Standard account at FP Markets, which has spreads from 1.0 pips, which is within industry averages, and allows access to MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and cTrader platforms. The minimum deposit for this account is just $100, with ECN-pricing.

A VPS is available, and the number of offerings is truly staggering. There are over 10,000 markets to trade across forex, shares, indices, commodities, bonds, ETFs, and digital currencies. In other words, you won’t outgrow the broker.

It is worth noting that the Raw account has spreads as low as 0.0 pips, with just $3 per side per lot. This is less than the usual $3.50 per side per lot, which is one of the biggest draws for professionals. They are also known for webinars and podcasts that focus on trading and the needs of traders.

Best Low Spreads

Trading Forex and CFDs carries a high level of risk to your capital and you should only trade with money you can afford to lose. Trading Forex and CFDs may not be suitable for all investors, so please ensure that you fully understand the risks involved and seek independent advice if necessary.

Why We Picked It

IC Markets has long been known for its range of markets, and its execution. Spreads are also a big factor in choosing IC Markets, with it being the best in the industry that allows Thai traders. I also liked the platforms available, all of which many traders will know, including: MT4, MT5, cTrader, and TradingView.

Regional Features:

  • Entity that Accepts Thai Traders: IC Markets (CySEC)
  • Maximum Leverage: 1:30
  • Thai Payment Methods: Bank cards and wire transfers
  • Localized Version of the Website: Yes
  • Customer Support in Thai: Yes
  • Other Features: USD/THB among currency pairs for trading

When I tested the Raw Spread account at IC Markets, I found the spreads at times could be as low as 0.1 pips, with an industry average commission of $3.50/side per turn. The tight spreads and standard commissions allow for traders to scalp easily, and execution was lightning fast. The platforms seemed to have all performed well.

IC Markets has a minimum deposit of €200, or the currency equivalent. This allows small traders to get involved as well as large ones, and also offers a low barrier to try out the broker in a live environment.

IC Markets offers over 2850 tradable instruments, and has dedicated support 7 days a week. With this, and the ultra-low spreads, many traders will look to IC Markets for savings when it comes to the costs of trading.

Forex and CFD trading involve a significant risk to your invested capital. Please read and ensure you fully understand our Risk Disclosure. Trading foreign exchange and leveraged financial products has high risks and may cause you to lose your principal. You should not take the risk of loss more than you can afford and please ensure that you fully understand the risks involved. Trading leveraged products is not suitable for all investors. Trading unleveraged products such as shares also involves risk as the value of shares can go down as well as up, meaning you may get back less money than you originally invested. Past performance is no guarantee of future results. Before trading, please consider your level of experience, investment objectives and seek independent financial advice if necessary. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the legal requirements of his/her country of residence allow him/her to use the services provided by the Interstellar Financial Group Limited.

Why We Picked It

FISG offers come of the best crypto trading costs, which is why I listed it here. The platforms available are the well-known MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 platforms, and the FISG App. Access to 7 different asset classes, and an excellent education center makes this a solid broker all the way around. FISG has been in business for 15 years as well.

Regional Features:

  • Entity that Accepts Thai Traders: First Interstellar Global Ltd, regulated by the FSA of The Seychelles
  • Maximum Leverage: 1:2000 (1:500 in most accounts)
  • Thai Payment Methods: UnionPay, crypto, and bank transfers
  • Localized Version of the Website: Yes
  • Customer Support in Thai: Yes
  • No fees for deposits or withdrawals

I tested the Standard account at FISG, which features tight variable spreads. The EUR/USD spread was averaging 0.11 pips during New York trading, incredibly tight. The leverage was cut down to 1:500, but let’s be honest here, it is far more than enough to take advantage of the limited costs incurred.

The minimum deposit to trade at FISG is just $50, so this will allow you to “try out” this broker. The execution was very fast, and I had no issues with requotes. The cryptocurrency trading environment had tight spreads, and offered the majors that you would look for.

FISG allow has promotions that are ever-changing, with such things as Non-Farm Payroll prediction contests, and even other real-world events like sporting events, etc.

IG Markets has been around since 1974, and is one of the biggest brokers for retail traders available. Platforms available at IG include MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, Web Trader, TradingView, ProRealTime, and L2 Dealer. This allows for the right platform no matter what your trading style is, and gives a huge amount of flexibility.

Regional Features:

  • Entity that Accepts Thai Traders: IG International Limited, BMA in Bermuda

I used the ProRealTime platform while testing IG and found the spreads to be very competitive. Some of the spreads in the forex markets were as low as 0.6 pips, with shares being excellent as well, with a 0.1 spread. The ability to trade over 17,000 instruments, and with no minimum opening balance, you can get acclimated to the platform you choose. L2 Dealer is the main attraction here, and many traders like the order book and sentiment indicators, although I personally prefer ProRealTime.

What I found interesting was the fact that IG also has a stock screener for its clients to take advantage of. Beyond that, the market analysis is strong, but it should be noted that it is more tempered to swing traders than intraday scalpers.

Why We Picked It

FxPro offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a great proprietary app. FxPro has been around since 1999 and has executed more than 1 billion orders. The broker allows you to trade indices, forex, shares, energies, crypto, metals, and ETFs. This is a broker that newer traders will love, with all-in costs and massive offerings.

Regional Features:

  • Entity that Accepts Thai Traders: FxPro Global Markets, regulated by the SCB of the Bahamas
  • Maximum Leverage: 1:30
  • Thai Payment Methods: bank cards and wire transfers, PayPal, Neteller, Skrill
  • Localized Version of the Website: Yes
  • Customer Support in Thai: Yes
  • Other Features: USD/THB among currency pairs for trading

I tested the Standard MT5 account, using the all-inclusive spreads. The major pairs were right around the advertised 1.2 pip spreads, and the execution speed was excellent, as one would expect from a big name like FxPro.

There are over 2100 assets available to trade at FxPro, allowing traders to get access to the majority of global market moves. The dedicated support is open 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, and is very responsive.

FxPro offers decent financial news and analysis, but the biggest draw here is going to be the simplistic all-inclusive spreads and costs that beginners will prefer. This allows them to focus solely on the idea of execution and trading, and less on the finer points of the business.
